The douiria is traditionally the home of the master of the house designed to receive visitors from outside the family. These private apartments generally have an independent entrance from the access to the riad. The douiria communicates with the main riad only by the swimming pool. Everything else is privatized. The douiria is suitable for 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a private terrace. Bedroom 1 has a latticework alcove that magnificently overlooks the living room. It is appreciated by those who want, out of sight, to rest, dream or read on the sofa in the alcove. Bedroom 2 is imbued with the presence of a rare 19th century coffered piece of furniture from a Koranic school. It is also decorated with souvenirs brought back from a trip to Djenné, in Mali, which illustrate the links that exist between the Maghreb and the Sahel. The large living room, with a cozy and colonial atmosphere, is open to the sky in summer by a douaya. In winter, it becomes a very intimate place thanks to its open fire. The private terrace offers a superb view of the Koutoubia and the Atlas.
